Chagrin River Review

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Founded in 2012 in Northeast Ohio, Chagrin River Review aims to publish the best contemporary short fiction and poetry available to readers today. Chagrin River Review seeks flash fiction, and poetry that explore the human experience and reveal emotional truth. While Ohio connections are welcome, Chagrin River Review’s readers and contributors come to the online journal from around the world, and we offer quality writing no matter the region that inspires it. The journal is edited by faculty at Lakeland Community College. We do allow submissions by writers affiliated with Lakeland Community College, but cannot offer any special treatment.

We accept submissions only through Submittable. All submissions received by mail or email will be discarded. Sorry, but no exceptions. There are no fees to submit, and we cannot offer to pay writers for their work at this time.

Chagrin River Review acquires first rights for publication in multiple formats. Upon publication, rights revert to the author. Chagrin River Review reserves the right to reprint the work if it is selected for inclusion in a Chagrin River Review print anthology at a later date, and to archive the work online.
